"The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree."
The Eastern Hemlock tree is a very good tree to purchase. It is native to Canada, grows tall (about 100 feet), and it grows well in shade. They also live very long, the oldest known Hemlock is at least 554 years old. Because it is so easy to grow, it is a very common tree species. It is coniferous, meaning they do not lose their pines, and they do very well in cold climate, which means it would be easy to take care of in Ontario. They are beautiful and massive, so make sure to have some room if you are planning to grow a Hemlock!
The Eastern Hemlock is located all throughout Canada and the U.S., but is most common on Eastern parts.
Benefits of having this tree: Great look, great for shade, blocks out noise!
