This fast growing, wide rooted tree grows crisp light green leaves that turn a soft yellow in the fall season. A young tree will have an even, smooth dark green bark that will later turn rigid with beautiful detail showing it’s age and experiences. In the spring season, tri-coloured, fragrant, eye pleasing flowers will bloom, with six bright orange, yellow and green petals. The leaf silhouette has the familiar outline of the tulip flower, and the blossoms are reminiscent of the popular flower as well.
Commonly known as the Tulip Tree, "Liriodendron" is latin.
